Appointments

Consultation is by appointment. Urgent cases will be seen on the day. Our staff are experienced in helping you decide whether the matter requires an urgent appointment.

Appointments are available during the following times:

8.30am to 5.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday

8.30am to 6.00pm Tuesday and Thursday

8.30am to 1.00pm Saturdays

To help our Doctors keep waiting times to a minimum and give patients the time they require – please book a longer appointment for the following:

  • Mental Health Issues.  These are often complex in nature and require longer appointments.  This also applies to mental health plans and psychology referrals.
  • Where the medical condition is of a complex nature.
  • If you feel you need a longer appointment.

Please advise our reception staff when booking:

  • Your preferred doctor. You will be offered the first available appointment with your doctor of choice but if they are fully booked, and you consider the matter urgent, you will be offered an appointment with one of our doctors who has a vacancy.
  • If you require a standard appointment – a single appointment is 15 minutes.
  • If you have a few issues to discuss with your doctor requiring a double appointment or longer
  • If you think that another family member may also require a consultation. Fitting 2 patients into a single appointment time is why we are often running late. Your doctor is the best person to decide whether or not to see the unbooked patient.

“Your problem will get the attention and time it deserves if the appropriate time is allocated when making your appointment.”

Changing Appointments

Should you wish to change an appointment, we would appreciate as much notice as possible so that other patients can be offered your time. A non-rebatable fee will apply if you miss a confirmed appointment, without adequate notice. A fee may apply if you fail to attend scheduled appointments without notifying us of your inability to keep your appointment.

Despite our best intentions, we sometimes run late! This is because someone has needed unexpected urgent attention. Be assured that when your turn comes, we will not rush to catch up but will give your problem the time it deserves.

Please ring half an hour before your appointment to check if the doctor is on time.
